RARE/Nazi occupation governor of Holland and deputy governor of Poland, executed as war criminal. A.L.S. signed “Seyss-Inquart” at start and again at conclusion, 1p. 4to., [Nuremberg], Dec. 27, 1945, in pencil. Seyss-Inquart writes to his American captors as he awaits trial, in part: “…I ask you to permit me today once more to have a look at the documents already selected by me (protocols of the trial, etc.) I ask, however, that I be given the opportunity to take part in exercise. As the exercise takes place generally about 0900 hours, I beg that I be taken to the room for defense counselors only after 1000…” Typed translation beneath the text. Folds, else fine.
