Jackson was also the only individual to have served as Solicitor General, Attorney General, and a Supreme Court Justice. Typed on Supreme Court of the United States letterhead, 1p. Washington, Aug. 21, 1946, writing to a “dear Tap”. In part: “I really think that over the years I can make a more permanent contribution by the work on the Court. I shall look forward to seeing you in Atlantic City and to telling you some of my reasons why” Jackson signs BOB at the conclusion. Fine.
