Product Information
HERMANN GORING (1893-1946) Hitler’s right-hand man and head of the Luftwaffe, finally captured and committed suicide on the eve of his execution. Misdated or backdated ‘Hermann Goring Reichsmarshall’ 1p. Augsburg, May 20, 1945, in green indelible pencil on a lined sheet, untranslated but begins with ‘Mein Fuhrer’ and seems to concern a request for an honorary leave so a soldier and his wife can go to Neuhaus (Belgium). Fine condition. We do know that on May 20, 1945 Goring was in Allied captivity in Augsburg, making this a very ENIGMATIC letter!
SIGNED HERMANN GOERING REICHSMARSCHALL EXC.
