CARL-ALFRED SCHUMACHER/ very rare autograph
(1896 – 1967) German military officer and politician. During World War II, Schumacher served in the Luftwaffe, commanding the Jagdgeschwader 1 (JG 1) fighter wing. Recipient of the first Knights Cross awarded to a fighter pilot. War-date photo 3.5 x 5.5 b/w, a half-length pose in uniform, boldly signed and adding rank in black ink.
