(1885 – 1953) German field marshal of the Luftwaffe during World War II, captured by the Allies and charged with war crimes in the High Command Trial at the Subsequent Nuremberg Trials but was acquitted. 3.6 in. x 5.5 in. b/w, a Hoffman photo postcard portrait boldly signed in blue ink at bottom.

KALTENBRUNNER ERNST: (1903-1946) Austrian SS-Obergruppenfuhrer, Director of the Reich Security Main Office 1943-45 and President of Interpol 1943-45. D.S., Dr Kaltenbrunner, Vienna, 20th April 1938, in German. The partially printed document, completed in typescript, is addressed to the SS Personnel Department in Berlin and relates to SS-Standartenfuhrer Dr. Friedrich Rainer, requesting that he be relieved of his duties and simultaneously appointed as leader of the SS-Oberabschnittes in Austria. Signed by Kaltenbrunner at the foot in his capacity as an SS-Brigadefuhrer and Fuhrer des SS-Oberabschnittes, Austria

Friedrich Rainer (1903-1947) Austrian Nazi Party politician who served as a Gauleiter and Reichsstatthalter (Reich Governor) during World War II, and is notable for being the only Austrian governor who has ever held the same office in two separate states.

SS General WILHELM BITTRICH Signed Document OPERATION MARKET GARDEN

WILHELM BITTRICH
(1894 – 1979) General of the Waffen-SS who commanded the SS Cavalry Division ‘Florian Geyer’ in rear security operations (‘bandit fighting’) in the Soviet Union. Fine content signed twice, a partly-printed ‘Fuhrer-Fragebogen’ completely filled-in and signed at top and bottom in which Bittrich notes biographical details, military service, NSDAP political efforts, his receipt of both classes of the Iron Cross, etc. RARE BITTRICH DOCUMENT

From July 1944 until the end of the war Bittrich commanded the 2nd SS Panzer Corps in Normandy, during Market Garden (A BRIDGE TO FAR) and in Hungary.

After his arrest in May 1945, Bittrich was extradited to France to stand trial for allegedly ordering the executions of 17 members of the French Resistance. After being convicted of less serious charges in relation to the executions, Bittrich was sentenced to five years in prison. Following his release, he became active in HIAG, a revisionist organization and a lobby group of former Waffen-SS members and served as chairman during the 1970s.

A rare third reich autograph war criminal General Alexander Löhr signed photo with message
Large mounted studio portrait photograph of LOHR, signed in ink handwritten dedication in German referencing a service anniversary ‘Im Osten, Juli 1942′ (In the East, July 1942) and a pen signature. Photograph is affixed to a heavier cardstock mount. A RARE LUFTWAFFE AUTOGRAPH 10X7 IN.

Alexander Löhr (20 May 1885 – 26 February 1947) was an Austrian Air Force commander during the 1930s and, after the annexation of Austria, he was a Luftwaffe commander. Löhr served in the Luftwaffe during World War II, rising to commander of Army Group E and then to commander-in-chief in Southeastern Europe

Löhr was captured by Yugoslav Partisans at the end of the war in Europe. He was tried and convicted of war crimes by the Yugoslav government for anti-partisan reprisals committed under his command, and the German bombing of Belgrade in 1941. He was executed by firing squad on 26 February 1947 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia.

VERY CLEAN SPRENGER SIGNATURE ON A 1939 LETTER TO A POLICE OFFICIAL, KARL RUHL, RARE

Jakob Sprenger (24 July 1884 – 7 May 1945) was a Nazi Party official and politician who was the Party’s Gauleiter of Hesse-Nassau South from 1927 to 1933 and Gau Hesse-Nassau from 1933 to 1945. He was also the Reichsstatthalter (Reich Governor) and Minister-President of the People’s State of Hesse, the Oberpräsident of the Prussian Province of Nassau and an SA-Obergruppenführer.

As American armed forces approached Frankfurt, Sprenger issued further orders on 23 March 1945 prohibiting any able-bodied man or woman from leaving the city. Despite this, on the night of 25 to 26 March just before the start of the Battle of Frankfurt, Sprenger himself fled from Frankfurt to Kössen in eastern Tyrol, Austria where the Russians and U.S. Army were executing a pincer maneuver to envelop the whole country. Trapped, Sprenger and his wife committed suicide by ingesting poison on 7 May 1945.
