Title page of the proposal list for the awarding of the KVK I. class without swords, dated 20.4.1944. signed Oswald Pohl “Chief of the SS-Wirtschaftsverwaltungshauptamt” and with his hand written. Oswald Ludwig Pohl (30 June 1892 – 7 June 1951) was a German SS functionary during the Nazi era. As the head of the SS Main Economic and Administrative Office and the head administrator of the Nazi concentration camps, he was a key figure in the Final Solution, the extermination of Jews. After the war he went into hiding. Pohl was apprehended in 1946. He stood trial in 1947, was convicted of war crimes and crimes against humanity, repeatedly appealed his case, and was executed by hanging in 1951

Ludwig Steeg (22 December 1894 – 6 September 1945) was a German Nazi politician who was the Oberbürgermeister (Lord Mayor) and Stadtpräsident (City President) of Berlin during the Third Reich.
When the city surrendered to the Soviet forces on 2 May 1945, he was arrested and taken to a Soviet internment camp, where he died in unexplained circumstances in September.

Helmut Neumann (21 November 1921 – 21 April 1992) was a Luftwaffe (German air force) fighter ace during World War II. He is credited with 62 aerial victories achieved in 162 combat missions, becoming an “ace-in-a-day” on two separate occasions. All but two of his aerial victories were claimed on the Eastern Front.
